MARKING METHOD FOR BAT AND BAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking method by which the display of characters, figures, etc., can be quickly and cleanly formed on the surface of a bat, and also to provide the bat with a beautiful, clear and durable display part formed by performing marking with this method. SOLUTION: A laser beam 10 oscillated from a laser beam oscillator 9 is guided to a converging lens 11 via a y-axis reflector 12 and an x-axis reflector 13, made to pass through the focusing lens 11, and converged in a pinpoint manner on the surface of a ball hitting zone 2 of the bat 1. Then, a y-axis and an x-axis rotating device 14, 15 are driven and controlled by a numerical controller or the like, and the y-axis and the x-axis reflector 12, 13 are continuously rotated respectively. As a result, the laser beam 10 is scanned on the surface of the ball hitting zone 2 of the bat 1, the surface irradiated with the laser beam 10 is carbonized/discolored to form a desired display 5 shape and/or burned or removed to form a recessed display 5.
