Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of increasing the heat resistance of a catalyst so as to keep a high performance of emission gas cleaningn even in little amount of catalyst noble metals for a long term to aim the cost reduction. SOLUTION: In the emission gas cleaning catalyst where a catalyst layer 6 containing double oxide containing Ce, Zr, Nd, and catalyst noble metals, and active alumina is formed on a surface of a cell wall 5 of a honeycomb-shaped carrier, CeO2/ZrO2mass ratio of the double oxide is not less than 1.4, and the ratio of Nd2O3/(CeO2+ZrO2+Nd2O3) is not more than 20% by mass.
