EXAMINATION OF SWINE GENE FOR INCREASING OVULATION NUMBER BY UTILIZING POLYMORPHISM IN SWINE FOLLICLE-STIMULATING HORMONE ACCEPTER GENE AND NUCLEIC ACID MOLECULE USED IN THE EXAMINATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for creating improved swine of a large litter size by elucidating the relationship between polymorphic sites in FSHR gene and an ovulation number and enabling the detection of a gene of the large litter size. SOLUTION: This invention provide a nucleic acid mo...

Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for creating improved swine of a large litter size by elucidating the relationship between polymorphic sites in FSHR gene and an ovulation number and enabling the detection of a gene of the large litter size. SOLUTION: This invention provide a nucleic acid molecule that contains following nucleic acids (1) and (2) and can identify that the 74th base in the first exon is cytosine (C) or guanine (G) and/or the 532th base in the 6th exon is adenine (A) or guanine (G) in a swine follicle-stimulating hormone receptor gene and the use thereof, wherein (1) is a nucleic acid encoding a protein containing a swine-originating specific amino acid sequence, and (2) is a nucleic acid or an oligonucleotide hybridizing to the nucleic acid that is complementary to the nucleic acid encoding swine originating specific amino acid sequence.
