Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the eddy current loss of a sintered permanent magnet in relation to a rare earth magnet, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In a ferromagnetic material containing at least one kind of a rare-earth element, a layer containing at least one kind or more of alkaline earth element or a rare-earth element and a fluorine is formed in the grain boundary of the ferromagnetic material or the part near the powder surface. At least one kind or more of the rare-earth element is contained adjacent to the part of the layer. A layer, having a lower fluorine concentration than that of the layer and a higher rare-earth element concentration than the host phase of the ferromagnetic material or the oxide layer containing the rare-earth element is formed. It has loss-reducing effect. It can be applied to a magnetic circuit which is exposed to a high-frequency magnetic field. The improvement in the efficiency as a whole, and the noise reducing effect of the magnetic circuit due to loss-reducing effect can be expected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
