Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption during standby, in a controller for a water heater. SOLUTION: When an operation state of a water heater body 1 is made to be in a standby state (an operation off state) by a remote controller 7, an operation off instruction from the remote controller 7 is transmitted to a water heater control circuit 4 through a communication circuit 6, the water heater control circuit 4 makes a drive power source 3 in a stop state, and only minimum power is consumed. When the remote controller 7 is not operated for a prescribed time, the water heater control circuit 4 makes the drive power source 3 in the stop state, only the minimum power is consumed.
