Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plating method on a glass base plate, in which even a plating film having thickness of 1 μm or more can uniformly be formed with excellent adhesion, on a base plate composed of a glass material by an electroless plating method. SOLUTION: The plating film is formed on a surface of the base plate composed of a glass material by a step of electroless plating S6, at least after the sueface is subjected, in order, to a glass activation treatment S2 to increase quantity of silanol groups on the surface of the base plate by twice or more using an aqueous solution of diluted acid, a silane coupling agent treatment S3, a palladium catalyst treatment S4, and a palladium bonding treatment S5.
