A unit signal train is impressed to each unit element group to finely carry out driving control. Thus erasure of recording is surely carried out by applying the same heating state to the reversible recording medium. The unit signal train is composed of a combination of drive signals and non drive signals such that every other resistance element is made to heat or every two resistance elements are made to heat.
