THERMAL RECORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recorder which can surely carry out erasure of recording even when a thermal head with a plurality of heating elements arranged in a line shape is used at the time of erasing the recording to a reversible recording medium. SOLUTION: A plurality of resistance elements arranged in the line shape at the thermal head are divided to unit element groups each composed of eight resistance elements. A unit signal train is impressed to each unit element group to finely carry out driving control. Thus erasure of recording is surely carried out by applying the same heating state to the reversible recording medium. The unit signal train is composed of a combination of drive signals and non drive signals such that every other resistance element is made to heat or every two resistance elements are made to heat.
