GARBAGE DISPOSER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop agitation operation considering erroneous detection by a sensor. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer is provided with a disposer main body 10 having a treatment tank 21 housing a basic biomaterial; a lid 65 openably/closably attached to the disposer main body 10; an agitation member 26 agitating garbage and the basic biomaterial housed in the treatment tank 21; basic material state detecting means (temperature sensors 79-81) detecting the state of the basic biomaterial; a lid body opening/closing detecting means (a switch 68) for detecting opening/closing of the lid 65; and a control means (a microcomputer 83) controlling the agitating member 26 on the basis of the opening/closing state of the lid 65. In the garbage disposer, a second set time is set for stopping the agitation means to be different on the basis of the state of the biomaterial detected by a basic material state detecting means, when the lid opening/closing detecting means does not detect operation of the lid 65 within a first preset time.
