FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which maintains an appropriate contact state of a recording material and a conveyance member and can maintain image quality by stabilizing traveling of the recording material and preventing the occurrence of paper wrinkling, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The fixing device 10 which is equipped with a heating member 1 and a pressurization member 2, fixes an unfixed toner image by inserting the recording material 5 formed with the unfixed toner image into a fixing nip section N formed between the heating member 1 and the pressurization member 2. There are provided a pair of rotating bodies 6 A and 6 B for conveyance arranged downstream in the recording material conveyance direction from the fixing nip section, which are faced and pressurized contact with each other. The recording material 5 is inserted into the facing part P and conveyed. With respect to the pair of the rotating bodies 6 for conveyance, the rotating body 6 B facing the image forming side of the recording material is wider in its width than the maximum paper passing width of the recording material 5 and the facing part of the pair of the rotating bodies 6 A and 6 B for conveyance is under pressure equal to or below 2 kgf/cm2.
