ROTARY KNOB AND MEASURING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary knob whose rotation operation can be continued nearly at the same position as a rotating position just after detaching of the finger tip during operation even when the finger tip is detached. SOLUTION: At a position eccentric from an axis A at an end face 7a orthogonal to the axis A, a recess 8 for resting the finger is formed. One or more protrusions 9 whose surface is at least partially included within an annular area F inserted between a circle C which the center B of the recess 8 passes through and a circle E where a site D separated most from the axis A of the recess 8 passes through when the recess 8 is rotated with the axis A as the center are formed on the end face 7a.
