Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To augment visibility at a sideways area in front of the road, without an adverse effect on formation of a low-beam light distribution pattern in a vehicle headlight. SOLUTION: In an inner face of a shade 26 converging the light source 22a arranged on the light axis Ax from a front side, a first reflecting face 30a having a shape of ellipsoid of revolution, with a center point of a light source 22a as a first focus F1 and a point existing in front of the first focus as a second focus F2, is formed at an area located diagonally upward from a light axis Ax; and a second reflecting face 30b consisting of a parabolic cylinder face with an axis line coaxial with the light axis Ax as a focal line FL is formed at an area diagonally downward opposing the first reflecting face 30a from the light axis Ax. Then, after a part of direct light headed frontward from the light source 22a is once converged to the second focus F2 by reflecting it at the first reflecting face 30a, it is reflected at the second reflecting face 30b, and is irradiated sideways frontward of the light tool as light dispersing in a horizontal direction without dispersing in vertical direction.
