Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting chemical substance, capable of specifying easily and inexpensively a generation source of a volatile organic compound diffused inside a structure or inside a room. SOLUTION: In this device for detecting chemical substance 100, gas of a volatile chemical substance diffused from an inspection object is detected. The device is equipped with a detection sheet 2, reacting chemically with the volatile chemical substance and changing the color, installation means 1, 3 for installing the detection sheet 2 at a prescribed aperture from the inspection object, an irradiation means 24 for irradiating the detection sheet 2 with light, a light-receiving means 25 for detecting reflected light from the detection sheet 2, a determination means 26 for determining that the detection sheet 2 is changed to have a prescribed color by a detection result by the light-receiving means, and display means 27, 28, 29, 30 for displaying a determination result by the determination means.
