Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float valve capable of securely opening and closing a valve element even if it has a flat shape. SOLUTION: A guide part 2e protruding toward the inside of the valve element 5 having the flat shape and having a thin and long shape is protrudedly provided in a case 2. The valve element 5 is guided by the guide part 2e to open and close a passage 3a. Since a shape for guiding the valve element 5 is a thin and long shape extending in the vertical direction, amount of inclination of the valve element 5 to the case 2 is reduced, and impossiblity of operation of the valve element 5 because it is caught in the case 2 is prevented.
