Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid material composed of hollow carbon nanotubes having a wall consisting of graphene dual layers of a cocentric and nearly cylindrical shape and its manufacturing and application method. SOLUTION: The manufacturing and application method relates to fullerene carbon nanotubes having a cylindrical wall comprising a double layer of carbon atoms (3), and its manufacturing and application comprising supplying a catalyst composed of a carbon supply source and a transition metal substantially belonging to an iron group of the periodic table of the elements and sulfur to a reacting zone having a DWNT formation atmosphere substantially consisting of a hydrogen-containing gas and applying heat to carbon and the catalyst in the reacting zone. Furthermore, the method relates to the nanotubes having the adjusted number of carbon layers and its large-scale manufacturing.
