Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cross-aldol in which an alpha alkyl aldehyde bonds to a nonsubstituted alpha aldehyde in 1:1 ratio by efficiently carrying out cross-aldol condensation of the alpha alkyl aldehyde in the presence of the nonsubstituted alpha aldehyde. SOLUTION: The cross-aldol in which the alpha alkyl aldehyde bonds to the nonsubstituted alpha aldehyde in 1:1 ratio is produced by aldol condensation of an aldehyde mixture containing 70-99 wt% alpha alkyl aldehyde and 1-30 wt% nonsubstituted alpha aldehyde.
