Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology effective in improving the cooling efficiency of a commutator and a brush brought into sliding contact with the commutator. SOLUTION: This power tool is provided with a motor having an armature 133, the commutator 137 and a cooling fan 151. The cooling fan 151 has a commutator side fan ring 153 with an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the commutator, and a plurality of commutator side ribs 154 extended from the commutator side fan ring toward the commutator side, on the end face side facing the commutator. Each commutator side rib 154 is inserted in a slit 137b between the commutator pieces 137a constituting the commutator. The cooling fan is thereby fixed to the commutator in a state of securing a flow space 158 of cooling air between the outer peripheral surface of the commutator and the inner peripheral surface of the commutator side fan ring.
