SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING IMAGE WITH OBJECT POSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of recording images and the position of an object in cross-reference with each other. SOLUTION: When an index 52 is used for an object and a transmitter/receiver 10 is located at the position of the index 52, a GPS receiver 16 collects a GPS signal and a correction signal as information for specifying the position of the index 52, generates positional information on the latitude, the longitude, and the altitude of the index 52 on the basis of the collected signals, and transmits the generated positional information via a wireless unit 18. When a digital camera 12 located at a point apart from the index 52 by 10 m photographs the index 52, a CCD 28 images the index 52 by making depression of a shutter button a trigger, a wireless communication card 48 acquires the positional information of the index 52, an image pre-processor 30 processes the image of the index 52 as a JPEG image, the positional information of the index 52 is written to the photographing position field of an Exif header, and contents of the image information are stored in a memory card 46, and displayed on the screen of a liquid crystal panel 32.
