Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to manufacture at low cost a color filter and a color conversion layer for a high definition full-color display. SOLUTION: The organic EL display device has an organic EL luminous layer in which a first electrode CD formed for each picture element, an organic EL layer OLE (W) which is formed covering each of the first electrodes in common and has white color light emitting ability, and a second electrode AD which is formed covering the organic EL layer in common, are laminated in this order on the main surface of a substrate SUB. The emitting light of the organic EL layer OLE (W) is made to emit on the second electrode AD side, and a color filter FIL which converts the white light from the organic EL luminous layer into a prescribed color and applied by wet process is provided for each picture element on the second electrode AD. Furthermore, a protective layer PAS for preventing deterioration of the luminous layer due to the application material of the color filter is provided between the second electrode AD and the color filter FIL.
