OPTICAL PICKUP AND OPTICAL DISK APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization while securing the workability of a suspension wire and keeping a frequency characteristic sufficiently. SOLUTION: An optical pickup 10 is provided with a lens holder 2 holding an objective lens 7 and a supporting block 3, and coupled to both sides in the tracking direction X of the lens holder 2 and both sides in the tracking direction X of the supporting block 3 by four suspension wires 80, respectively. An intermediate part of the longitudinal direction of the suspension wire 80 is formed as a large cross section 8008 in which a cross section is larger than both ends of the longitudinal direction of the suspension wires 80, both the ends of the longitudinal direction of the suspension wires 80 are formed as small cross sections 8010 smaller than the large cross section 8008.
