INFORMATION PROCESSOR, EXTERNAL DEVICE, HOST DEVICE, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high speed data transfer from one external device to which a host device is connected, to the other external device. SOLUTION: A host device 10 and a plurality of memory cards 20 share a signal DIO and are connected to each other. When performing inter-memory communication, the host device 10 outputs a transfer command to a transfer destination memory card 20A. Also, the host device 10 outputs a read command to a transfer origin memory card 20B. The transfer destination memory card 20A performs data write synchronously with the data read of the transfer origin memory card 20B. The transfer destination memory card 20A and the transfer origin memory card 20B share the signal line DIO. Thus, it is possible to perform data transfer between the memory cards by synchronizing the timing of the data read and the timing of the data write. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
