METHOD OF DETECTING BREAKAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting breakages capable of surely detecting cracks, even when the crack is in a progressing state. SOLUTION: The method for detecting breakages for an inspection object being made up by bonding at least hard and brittle materials stacked in the interior, while pressurizing them at a prescribed load, comprises a procedure of gradually pressurizing the inspection object up to the prescribed load, which includes the pressurization of the hard and brittle materials; a procedure of measuring a pressurizing load in the pressurizing procedure; a procedure of obtaining the rate of change of the pressurizing load, in relation to its pressurizing time; and a procedure for deciding that the internal hard and brittle material has been damaged, when the rate of change of the pressurizing load becomes equal to or larger than a prescribed value.
