SOLUTION: High stability, weakened irritation and highly effective tocopheryl retinoate-containing external use composition is obtained by simultaneously containing more than six kinds of substances selected from the group consisting of natural surfactants, chelating agents, antiinflammatory agents, antioxidants and their derivatives, alcohols, and d-β,γ,δ-tocopheryl retinoates.
