Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to improve precision of detection of a motion vector for image processing in a display device that carries out image processing. SOLUTION: A motion vector 8 generated in a motion vector detection circuit 3 from an image from which noise of an input image signal S1 is eliminated in a noise removal circuit 1, and a motion vector 9 generated in a motion vector detection circuit 4 from an image from which noise of the image signal S1 is eliminated in a noise removal circuit 2 of a system different from the noise removal circuit 1 are inputted in a motion vector selection circuit 5. In the motion rector slection circuit 5, by adopting a vector present in both the motion vector 8 and the motion vector 9 and outputting it as a motion vector 10, erroneous detection of vectors due to noise can be reduced and the precision of the motion vector can be improved.
