Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating insert provided with a reinforced surface area in the only one part of a base material, in regard to a coating cemented carbide cutting tool insert to be used for rough finishing, intermediate finishing and final finishing of a material such as steel and cast iron, especially becoming short chips thereof. SOLUTION: The coating cutting tool insert for metal-machining a material, especially becoming short chip machining comprises a tungsten carbide base material having a binder phase enriched surface area, and a cutting blade is formed by crossing at least one rake face and at lest one clearance surface. The binder phase enriched surface area is at least partially missed in the rake face comprising at least one part of a surface extended from the cutting blade.
