RADIOTHERAPY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a state of a therapeutic field on a real time basis without hindering a radioactive ray irradiating head by a real time imager operating in association with the radioactive ray irradiating head even when the therapeutic field in radiotherapy moves. SOLUTION: This radiotherapy apparatus having the radioactive ray irradiating head 10, an X-ray source 77 and a sensor array 78 is used. Here, the radioactive ray irradiating head 10 irradiates a diseased part 5 of a patient 4 with a therapeutic radioactive ray 3a. The X-ray source 77 irradiates the diseased part 5 of the patient 4 with a diagnostic X-ray 3b. The sensor array 78 outputs a transmitted X-ray as diagnostic image data by detecting the transmitted X-ray of the diagnostic X-ray 3b passed through the patient 4. The sensor array 78 and the X-ray source 77 move in association with the movement of the radioactive ray irradiating head 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
