GRANULATION WATER-CIRCULATION TYPE SLAG GRANULATION METHOD AND SLAG GRANULATION FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent various troubles at granulation water-circulation type granulation equipment due to slag suspension from occurring, and to reduce running costs charged on granulation of slag. SOLUTION: The method for granulating slag comprises granulating molten slag X1 with granulation water W, and after taking out granulated slag X2 outside the granulation water W, the granulation water W is circulated and utilized again for granulation of the molten slag X1. In a slag granulation facility equipped with a plate type heat exchanger having a heat transfer plate, flow velocity of the granulation water W is controlled to be one which can prevent the suspending slag from being sedimented in the plate type heat exchanger 6. Alternatively, a liquid cyclone is installed in the circulation system to separate a part of suspension slag from the circulation water and discharge it outside the system.
