Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a hybrid vehicle which drive unit can be reduced in size in the axial direction. SOLUTION: The drive unit 1 for the hybrid vehicle comprises an engine 10 and an electric motor 20, which constitute a drive source, a transmission 30 whose input shaft 31 is driven in response to the drive of at least either of the engine 10 and the motor 20, and a clutch mechanism 40 which is capable of changeover for connection and disconnection between a flywheel 12 fixed to a crank shaft 11 and the input shaft 31. A rotor 21 of the motor 20 is fixed to the outer peripheral side of the input shaft 31 so as to rotate integrally therewith.
