Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a hybrid vehicle which drive unit can be reduced in size in the axial direction. SOLUTION: The drive unit 1 for the hybrid vehicle comprises an engine 10 and an electric motor 20, which constitute a drive source, a transmission 30 whose input shaft 31 is driven in response to the drive of at least either of the engine 10 and the motor 20, and a clutch mechanism 40 which is capable of changeover for connection and disconnection between a flywheel 12 fixed to a crank shaft 11 and the input shaft 31. A rotor 21 of the motor 20 is fixed to the outer peripheral side of the input shaft 31 so as to rotate integrally therewith. The clutch mechanism 40 is disposed between the outer peripheral surface of the input shaft 31 and the inner peripheral surface of the rotor 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
