Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of a friction stir welding apparatus. SOLUTION: The rod 20 of the friction stir welding apparatus 10, which is connected to the probe 44 of a friction stir welding tool 14, turns following the rotational movement of a screw nut 72 in the operation of a rotationally moving motor 16. The rod 20 descends while being guided by a screw 73 following the turning of the rod 20. Finally, a probe 44 descends and sinks into a laminated portion 34 while turning.
