Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of freshening air using a propellant and a neutralizer, having excellent durability of scent in spraying an air freshener product without discoloring cloth or the like by the propellant. SOLUTION: A container for storing an air freshening composition comprises the propellent containing compressed gas, and a dispenser. The compressed gas is selected out of compressed air, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, inert gas and carbon dioxide. When the container is completely filled with the propellant and air freshening composition, the air freshening composition is released from the container at a flow rate of about 0.0001 g/s to about 1.2 g/s. In the case of using a malodor counteractant selected out of aldehyde, ionone, cyclodextrin and a mixture of carboxylic acid containing acrylic acid, safe for cloth, the method also provides a reduction in malodors.
