Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to use a motor of small rotational resistance by preventing free-running of the motor by an idling torque, even when a clutch which the idling torque generates, is interposed between the motor and wheels. SOLUTION: If the free-running of the electric motor 3 by the idling torque is detected, that is, if a 4WD switch 14 is OFF, the clutch 9 becomes non-engaged state (determination in step S1 is "Yes") and if a motor rotating acceleration (a) becomes larger than predetermined values a1 (determination in step S3 is "Yes"), a short circuit relay 13 is turned ON, the armature of the electric motor 3 is short circuited, and the field current and current flowing direction of the electric motor 3 are controlled. Thus, the torque of the electric motor 3 is controlled to the value of a direction reverse to the free-running, and a brake torque is generated (steps S4-S8). COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
