ACOUSTIC DIAGNOSING/MEASURING APPARATUS BY PULSE ELECTROMAGNETIC FORCE, AND DIAGNOSING/MEASURING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic diagnosing/measuring apparatus using a pulse electromagnetic force and diagnosing/measuring a clamped state of conductors coupled through clamps, and its method. SOLUTION: A coil 12 is disposed over a coupling section of the conductors 21, 22 coupled via the clamps 23, 24. A magnetic field pulse is generated, by applying a current pulse to the coil 12. An eddy current is induced, by the magnetic field pulse in the conductor 21 facing the coil. The conductor 21 is excited by an interaction force between the eddy current and the magnetic field force, and generates an acoustic signal. The acoustic signal is converted into electrical signals by an acoustic converter 14R attached to the conductor 21 facing the coil and an acoustic converter 14L attached to the other conductor 22 mutually coupled. The waveforms of the electrical signals from the acoustic converters 14R, 14L are compared, and the clamped state of the clamps 23, 24 is diagnosed/measured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
