Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension adjusting device for a passenger conveyer moving handrail, relating to tension adjustment of the passenger conveyer moving handrail, especially detecting tension changes due to extension of the moving handrail under operation, and adjusting the moving handrail to have proper tension. SOLUTION: The device adjusts the tension of the passenger conveyer moving handrail disposed in an endless shape and in which a pressing guide abuts on a bending portion shifting from a tilting straight line lower part to a horizontal portion in a turn traveling path with predetermined pressing force, by providing an acoustic detecting means on a curved portion of the moving handrail and providing a guide moving means pressing a moving handrail pressing guide in a moving handrail sliding surface vertical direction.
