Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for regulating edge of a recoding medium capable of deciding holding position with smaller resolution in response to size of paper sheets. SOLUTION: A hopper provided in a paper feeding tray freely to swing is provided with an edge guide 50 for guiding a side end of the recording paper sheets P. A first tooth part 56a is formed in a bottom part of the edge guide 50, and a second tooth part 38a is formed in a surface of the hopper opposite to the first tooth part 56a, and a holding means is structured to hold the edge guide 50 at the predetermined position by engaging both the tooth parts with each other. Formation pitch C1of teeth structuring the first tooth part 56a and formation pitch C2of teeth structuring the second tooth part 38a are formed to set a ratio C1/C2at 1.5, and the edge guide 50 can slide in pitch at 1/2 of the pitch C2.
