Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection apparatus capable of quickly correcting trapezoidal distortion caused by a tilted projection face with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The image projection apparatus includes: a projecting lens 2 for projecting image light to a projection face 6; a plurality of range finding means 3, 4, 5 for using reflected light resulting from the image light projected on the projection face and reflected therein to measure distances from the image projection apparatus to a plurality of positions 30, 40, 50 in the projection face respectively; and a correction means for correcting distortion in the projected image on the basis of the distances measured by a plurality of the range finding means.
