DEVELOPING ROLLER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller capable of preventing the occurrence of defective image such as spots, density unevenness, further, white image fogging as much as possible, satisfactorily corresponding to a color image and reliably obtaining a high quality image, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing roller. SOLUTION: The developing roller 1 comprises a shaft member 2 composed of a metallic pipe and one or more layers of resin layers 4 arranged on the outside in the radial direction. By applying the voltage of 8 kV to a corona discharge device disposed with an interval of 1 mm away from the outer circumferential surface, corona discharge is generated and the outer circumferential surface is electrified, wherein the maximum value of surface potential after 0.35 sec is 90 V or less.
