Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accurate rainfall forecast method for estimation after about three hours to ten hours. SOLUTION: In this rainfall forecast method, a forecast rainfall R1(t) after t hours by a kinematic approach and a forecast rainfall R2(t) after t hours by a physical approach are calculated with a weight factor C(t) and added together. Thus forecast accuracy of rainfall after t hours can be improved. Especially, accuracy of forecast of rainfall after about three to ten hours which is the period called "valley area of forecast" can be improved and thus it is possible to provide rainfall forecast especially desirable for dam operation.
