FOAM CAP FOR POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE-MADE BOTTLE TYPE CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam cap capable of decreasing a recycling cost for classifying and recovering a PET bottle and provided with enough sealing properties, and a method for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: The foam cap 1 has a cap nut-like shape, and has a female screw part 1a to be screwed on a male screw part 31a of a mouth part 31 of the PET bottle 30. Therefore, when the female screw part 1a of the foam cap 1 is screwed and tightened onto the male screw part 31a of the mouth part 31 of the PET bottle 30, it elastically deforms, there exists no possibility of generating a gap between an opening peripheral edge part of the mouth part 31 and the foam cap, thread sections of the male screw part 31a and the female screw part 1a are brought into close contact with each other, and sealing properties becomes good. In addition, as it is unnecessary to separate and remove the cap from the PET bottle classified and recycled, the recycling cost for classification and recycling is reduced.
