METHOD FOR COLLECTING TAXOL AND TAXANE FROM CELL CULTURE OF TAXUS SPECIES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect taxol and taxanes in high yield from Taxus species (except Taxus chinensis). SOLUTION: This collecting method comprises a cell culture step (a) where callus and/or the cells from suspension culture of Taxus species (excluding Taxus chinensis) are cultured, and in this case, the cultured cells are placed independently under the optimal condition in order to achieve rapid growth of the cultured cells; a biosynthesis stimulation step (b) where the cultivation conditions are independently optimized and changed into product formation conditions so that the biosynthesis of taxol and taxanes may be advantageously stimulated wherein the above growth optimal conditions are different from the product formation conditions, and a product collection step (c) where the produced taxol and taxanes are collected from the cells and/or a culture medium.
