MAP DISPLAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display system which displays a route hidden by an obstruction on a three-dimensional map by simple processing and allows a user to grasp a route hidden by an obstruction easily. SOLUTION: The map display system comprises route calculation means 11 which calculates a route from a starting point to a destination, a map data storage section 3 which stores map data, map display information generation means 12 which generates map display information including the route calculated by the route calculation means on the basis of the map data read from the map data storage section, and a display control section 6 which draws a three-dimensional map viewed from a predetermined viewpoint on the basis of the map display information generated by the map display information generation means and performs semi-transmissive processing which adds semi-transmissive route lines on all route lines including ones hidden by the drawing.
