GAS COMPRESSION EXPANSION MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirling refrigerator that can be manufactured at a low cost and has a support structure of a displacer capable of realizing a stable operation. SOLUTION: The stirling refrigerator 1A comprises a piston 4 that is driven by a linear motor 6 for reciprocation and varies the gas pressure in an operation space filled with working gas, a displacer 5 that is constituted of shell bodies 5a and 5b having an internal space inside, is arranged in the operation space, and is reciprocated by gas pressure variation of working gas caused by the reciprocation of the piston 4, a displacer rod 20a that is extended from a part of a wall surface defining the operation space and extended in the direction parallel with the reciprocation direction of the displacer 5 and of which tip is inserted into the internal space, and coil springs 22 and 23 for interconnecting a fixed member 21 mounted to the tip of the displacer rod 20a and the shell bodies (body section 5a and cap section 5b) in the internal space.
