Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank improved in resistance to permeation of fuel and fuel vapor. SOLUTION: According to this method of decreasing fuel and fuel vapor passing through a multilayer tank, a multilayer overlay is disposed to cover a polymer structure layer of the multilayer tank and at least a part of a vapor overlay seam formed on the tank. The multilayer overlay has at least one barrier layer formed of a vapor barrier material. The multilayer overlay has at least one structure layer formed of a polymer structural material to be adapted to one or more polymer structural layers of the multilayer tank. The multilayer overlay is fixed to the polymer structure layer of the multilayer tank by applying pressure and heat in the process of forming the tank, or forming a overlay on the surface of the tank.
