CORE AND ITS FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology by which a heat-resistant core having good collapsibility after casting can easily be formed in the high precise dimension without using a special facility etc. SOLUTION: After filling up filling material containing fused salt having lower melting point than the melting temperature of molten metal into a mold for forming a core coating a porous coating material having higher melting point than the melting point of the molten metal, the fused salt is solidified by cooling and then, the filling material is formed to form the core with a prescribed shape. The core obtained by separating from the mold becomes the one having high dimensional precision by precisely transferring the mold shape, because the fused salt is permeated into the coating material layer on the surface.
