Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic rice container which can preserve cooked rice without dehydrating it maintaining its fluffiness as can the conventional wooden rice container, and can re-heat or cook the rice contained over direct heat. SOLUTION: The surface of a rice container body formed by using a porous ceramic material and provided with resistance against heat of over 150 degrees centigrade and impact is glazed to form a glaze layer with cracking. The apparent porosity of this rice container body is set to be 10-25% and the diameter of the air holes to be less than 10 micrometer to make the water absorption of the rice container body to be 5-13%. 0.5-2.5% of water is absorbed into the rice container body prior to start using it.
