PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the router which can follow a mobile node, when it moves at a high speed, improves use efficiency of network resources, without changing the existing network configuration, and to improve data transmission and reception efficiency with little packet loss. SOLUTION: The router comprises a cache table 20d which holds a first temporary address of the mobile node; a receiving part 20a which receives a first packet from the mobile node and a second packet from a transmission source node; a change processing part 22 which changes the first temporary address held in the cash table 20d into a second temporary address, when the first packet includes a registration change request from the first temporary address of the mobile node to the second temporary address; and a transmission part 20g which transmits the second packet to the second temporary address that is changed at the change processing part 22, based on routing information of which the address of the next hop node, to which the second packet is transferred and a destination network identification information included in the second packet, are associated.
