Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot iron runner having superior durability, which inhibits the erosion of a portion to be particularly severely eroded by molten pig iron or slug, and can be continuously used for a far longer period than a conventional one. SOLUTION: The hot iron runner 1 comprises: a double-layer lining layer consisting of a shaped refractory 5 on an operation side and a cast monolithic refractory 10 on a back side of the shaped refractory, formed on a part of a side wall; and a single-layer lining layer made of the cast monolithic refractory formed on the rest of the side wall. Particularly, when the double-layer lining layer is arranged at the portion to be severely worn by the molten pig iron or the slug, such as a position on which the molten pig iron drops from a tap hole of a blast furnace, the runner can sufficiently show the effect for the durability.
