Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which comprises a diazonium salt compound and a coupler as color development components, and which increases a print speed by shortening a time for fixing by photoirradiation of the diazonium salt compound, without decreasing an image density. SOLUTION: In this thermal recording material, a thermal recording layer, which contains a microcapsule containing at least the diazonium salt compound and the coupler for developing a color by reacting with the diazonium salt compound, is provided on a substrate. The thermal recording material is characterized in that an organic compound with a refractive index of 1.57 or more and viscosity of 50 mPa×s or less is contained in the microcapsule.
