SOLUTION: A signal address designation structure which is operable to interact with an audio-related device, includes a version component, a length component representing the number of bits, a source node ID component representing a network interface independent unique ID of an audio-related device associated with a source, a destination node ID component representing a network interface independent unique ID of an audio-related device associated with a destination, a message ID component representing a type of an instruction related to a signal, a flag component representing characteristics related to the signal, a count component representing a hop count, and a message component representing a message to be processed by the audio-related device.
