ROOF TILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof tile for preventing uplift by an earthquake or a typhoon and also for eliminating inconvenience of an existing lift preventing device. SOLUTION: The roof tiles 1 are overlapped in a girder direction of the roof as well as in a flow direction of the roof while in the flow direction the overlapped part between the marginal portions of the tiles arranged higher is placed at a substantial center of the lower tile in the girder direction so as to be laid in a staggered arrangement. A bearing projection 13 integrally molded with the tile body 3 is formed at a substantial center on the upper surface of the tail side 7 of the tile body 3 composing the tile roof 1 with which the head side 8 of the tile arranged higher is overlapped. To the bearing projection 13, an engaging hook 17 is attached. The engaging hook 17 is fitted with an engaging recess part formed on the rear face of a marginal portion 5 of the sash bar side in the roofed state, so as to prevent uplift of the head side 8 of the tile 1 arranged higher.
