RELEASE LINER, ULTRAVIOLET-CURING PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET, AND METHOD FOR CUTTING THE PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release liner which, in cutting an ultraviolet-curing pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, can impart excellent workability and excellent working precision and can prevent cutting teeth from being fouled. SOLUTION: The release liner is one having as a support an ultraviolet-transmitting plastic support, wherein the plastic support has not ultraviolet-transmitting areas. It is preferable that the not ultraviolet-transmitting areas are contiguously and plurally formed along the longitudinal direction so as to form a specified pattern as a whole. It is preferable that the shape of each not ultraviolet-transmitting area coincides with the shape favorable for cutting the ultraviolet-curing pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet having an ultraviolet-curing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer protected with the release liner into a specified shape. The not ultraviolet-transmitting areas can be formed from an at least one not ultraviolet-transmitting layer selected from among a metallic layer, an ink layer, an ultraviolet-absorbing layer, and a nonmetallic inorganic material layer.
